Heidi Grimshaw is the Education Advisor for the nonprofit Their Story is Our Story. She is a former first grade and Reading Recovery teacher. She has an undergraduate degree in Education from the University of Utah and a master’s degree in education from Westminster College. She is currently pursuing her PhD in literacy from St. John’s University. She has four children ranging in age from six years to eighteen years. She works with the Refugee School Engagement Program helping refugee families adjust to the U.S. school system and encouraging reading. Heidi loves books and is an avid reader.
